FIGHTING SNOW SINCE 1923
In 1923, Benjamin Surrett established Dyar Sales and Machinery Company in Cambridge, MA. Dyar supplied municipalities with snowplows and equipment. Much of the snow removal at that time was done by large draft horses pulling either four-wheeled road graders equipped with plow blades, or large rollers that compacted the snow to allow the passage of horse-drawn sleighs. Dyar Sales and Machinery was one of the first to manufacture and sell snowplows to attach to motorized trucks and tractors. Throughout the years, the Surrett family has continued to provide municipalities and contractors with the most effective snow fighting methods.
In 1974 Dyar Sales moved to their present location in North Reading, MA. Dyar’s fabricators and mechanics are able to custom build trucks to each customer’s specifications. Dyar’s office and sales staff can provide the support and product information you need to get what you need in snow fighting equipment. Dyar Sales services municipalities, airports, schools and contractors throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Southern Maine and Southern New Hampshire. When you want your product to have quality and longevity, call Dyar.
