Continental Snowplow

The Rugged Snowplow for Smaller Truck. Manufactured by Dyar Sales

 

The Continental Snowplow was developed a half-century ago by Dyar Sales for use on 3/4 to 1 ton trucks. The rugged power angle, moldboard trip Continental plow is intended to be used as a road plow, and holds up much better than commercial snowplows.

Dyar installs the Continental using custom “fishplating”. This system is used on heavy trucks and provides the best load distribution on the truck frame. The construction and installation puts the Continental in a class by itself.

-Available in 8’ or 9’ lengths

 

-Moldboard constructed of 3/16” sheet and 1/4” steel ribs for exceptional strength. Height is 29”

 

-Formed circle and reinforced A-frame made of 3/8” angle

 

-Can be controlled hydraulically or electrically.

 

-Cast steel caster wheels with roller bearings and rubber tires

 

-Rugged double trip spring identical to those used on heavy weight plows

 

-Adjustable spring tension allows trip adjustment

 

-Adjustable moldboard pitch

 

-Pins in front of frame for convenient plow hookup
